THE CHILI COOK-OFF was well attended and there were 13 craft and vendor booth to browse while you enjoyed Christmas music presented by a Brass Ensemble, an organist and the SE NE Community Band. 
ALL MONIES RECEIVED from the Freewill donation will go toward further renovations of the Cornerstone Building.

The annual Avenue of Trees is displayed around the courthouse square every December.  Area businesses purchase the locally grown trees and decorate them.  The judging is usually done the  first weekend in December.  It's a wonderful sight and a beautiful display around the square.  For more information or to reserve a spot, call City Hall at 402-336-3570 or email Paula Darling at pdarling@windstream.net. CHRISTMAS ON THE SQUARE this year is Sunday, December 4, 2011 - 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. including the Avenue of Trees and Annual Chili cook-off.  Click here to see all the activities for the day on the Square and in the Cornerstone Building.

In combination with the Avenue of Trees display is the annual Chili Cook-off sponsored by the Tecumseh Historic Square Committee. This popular event is held in the newly refurbished Cornerstone Building at 3rd and Clay.  Area Chili connoisseurs bring their best pot of chili to be judged and enjoyed by all who attend.  Donations from the event are given for the Historic Square renovation.
