Easter Egg Hunt

The local Easter Egg Hunt is regularly held on the Saturday of Palm Sunday in the City Park. (weather permitting)  All elementary and preschool aged children are invited to join in the hunt.

The first Sunday of December is the day set aside for the special Avenue of Trees display and annual Chili Cook-off held on the Historic Square in downtown Tecumseh.

Community Christmas

Santa's annual visit to the Tecumseh Community is a big affair for children and adults alike.  Games, food, great prizes and of course, a visit from Santa make for a special day in downtown Tecumseh.

District Softball Tournament

The Tecumseh Ball Complex is the site for the District 9 Softball Tournament held in June every summer. Girls of all ages complete for their chance to advance to the State Summer Softball Tournaments.

District Track Meet

Johnson County Central High School is the host for the Class C-2 District Track Meet held each May for qualification to the State Track Meet in Omaha.

Fourth of July Fireworks

The City's fireworks display is held every 4th of July at the Johnson County Fairgrounds on the west edge of town. Shooting begins at dusk.
