Annual Dog licenses
- Every owner or possessor of any male dog shall pay to the City of Tecumseh, at City Hall, 122 South 4th Street a licensing fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) per year on the first (1st) day of January of each year; for each and every neutered/spayed dog the sum of ten dollars ($10.00) payable on the first (1st) day of January; for each and every female dog that is unspayed the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) per year payable on the first (1st) day of January. - In the event that the license tag is lost and upon satisfactory evidence that the original plate or tag was issued, the City shall issue a duplicate or new tag for the balance of the year for which the tax has been paid and shall charge and collect a fee of one-half (½) the cost of the original tag.
- In addition to the above licensing fees, every owner or possessor of each and every dog shall pay to the City of Tecumseh, $1.25 per year payable on the first (1st) day of January for the fees required by R.R.S. 54-603(3). No license shall be issued until the fees are paid and proof of vaccination for rabies is provided to the City of Tecumseh.
- Any visually impaired person may license their guide dog without the payment of the licensing fee described therein and the state fee prescribed in R.R.S. 54-603(3), but proof of rabies vaccination must still be provided to the City of Tecumseh.
- It shall be unlawful to own, maintain or possess any dog within the limits of the City, unless a license fee is paid and dog tags are constantly worn by the dogs.

Annual Cat license
- Every owner or possessor of a cat over the age of three (3) months should be licensed. Application for the a cat license shall be made to the City of Tecumseh, at City Hall, 122 South 4th Street. The fees are: male cat, fifty dollars ($50.00); neutered/spayed cat, ten dollars ($10.00); and female cat unspayed, fifty dollars ($50.00). Cat tag Application
- The license renewal shall be due and payable on the first (1st) day of January of each year. Said license shall not be transferable and no refund will be allowed in the case of the death, sale, or other disposition of the licensed cat.
