Public Transit
- The City of Tecumseh Transit System serves all of Johnson County. The bus has a capacity for 12 passengers plus 2 wheelchairs. Tecumseh Transit is open to the general public, including persons with disabilities and services Tecumseh, Elk Creek, Vesta, Crab Orchard, St. Mary, Sterling and Cook.
- Monthly Service:
The first Monday of the month the bus goes from Tecumseh to Beatrice. The second Monday of the month the bus goes from Tecumseh to Nebraska City and the third Monday of the month, the bus goes from Tecumseh to Lincoln (through Cook). If a holiday falls on a Monday, the trip is postponed until the following Monday. - Hours: Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - Noon and 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. (late hours if needed - closed on all major holidays and inclement weather) - Rate Schedule:
Elderly, Disabled and General Public
$1.00 per ride for City - $2 round trip
$2.00 per ride for County - $4 round trip
$15.00 per ride to Lincoln, Beatrice or Nebraska City - Any person who believes they have been discriminated against on the basis of race, color, or national origin by City of Tecumseh Johnson County Public Transit may file a complaint by completing and submitting the agency’s Title VI Complaint Form.
